We are thrilled to reveal our 2025 Recital theme: "Oh Yeah – Still Shining!" Inspired by the iconic song "Oh Yeah" by Yello and our celebration of 31 amazing years, this theme takes us on a celestial journey. This year’s recital will tell the enchanting story of the creation of Night and Day through dance. With the sun, moon, and stars as our backdrop, get ready for a breathtaking celebration of light, movement, and creativity!

Consider placing a “blessing” in our beautiful program, with or without a photo. Photo ads are limited and always sell out. Each dancer receives one free program. Business ads are welcome – see the front desk for availability.
Tickets
Pre-sale only, $12 each, reserved seating, first come, first served

Tickets will sell out, so submit recital packet early to secure the desired number of tickets.

Ticket priority is based on consecutive years at the studio.

Tickets will be distributed during picture week.

No ticket required for lap children, performers, or class moms (if child has multiple dances, mom must remain backstage).

Friday Recital requires its own tickets.

Saturday Recitals only require one set of tickets, even if your child is in multiple shows.

Tickets purchased together will be seated together. We will do our best to accommodate late orders and special needs. Limited wheelchair seating: only one family member seated with wheelchair party.
Picture Days
Pictures will take place Friday, May 16 – Sunday, May 18 (see schedule). Attendance required for class photos. Arrive 15 minutes early, dressed and ready. Minimal makeup recommended — close-up shots mean less is more.
Dress Rehearsal
MUST attend Dress Rehearsal at Lone Star College Tomball PAC on May 23 to perform recital day (see schedule). This is a closed rehearsal, only dancers and class moms allowed in the theater. Costume, hair, and makeup required. Rehearsal allows students to become familiar with the stage and get comfortable with the performance. Music cues, costume changes, and other logistics for a successful performance are rehearsed, so students can do their best. No Rehearsal for Baby Ballet.
Ballet Dress Rehearsal
MUST attend Tech Rehearsal at Lone Star College Tomball PAC on May 15 to perform on recital day. Dancers should wear their usual class attire. Rehearsal is closed to spectators, only dancers and assigned class moms allowed in theater. This rehearsal will allow dancers to become familiar with the stage and get comfortable with music cues, costume changes, and other logistics for a successful performance are rehearsed, so students can do their best.

Baby Ballet
No dress rehearsal. No drop off. One parent will sit in the front row with child for entire show. Instructor will gather dancers at performance time. Family & friends should locate assigned seats. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
Rehearsal/Recital Day
Students must arrive 20 minutes early in costume. Dancers in one dance should arrive ready to go with no additional items or dance bag (VM staff/volunteers are not responsible for unnecessary items). Students in more than one dance should arrive in first costume and bring a garment bag with other costumes & accessories.
Lone Star College Tomball PAC is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway in Tomball. Turn right and drive alongside 99 until you see the theatre entrance on your left. Our staff/volunteer will receive your child and supervise the entire time. Dancers will be dropped off and picked up from class mom in the lobby for rehearsal. Please pick up dancer at front of stage at the conclusion of recital. A parent must sign in/out child at drop off/pickup.
Performance Orders
Oh Yeah - Still Shining Recital 2025 will consist of four shows on between Friday, May 23, 2025 and Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Lone Star College Tomball PAC. Please see performance orders to confirm which show your child is in and what time their rehearsal will take place.
Costumes/Hair/Makeup
Label all bags, costumes, accessories, tights, and shoes. Store costumes in a garment bag with accessories. Gather all items in advance to check for missing pieces. Press, steam, or fluff costumes before recital. Hang tutus upside down in a steamy room to remove wrinkles. Tights (provided by VM) are added to accounts and distributed in a specified color—do not wash or wear beforehand. Ensure ballet shoes are new or clean, and tap shoes are scuff-free and stage-ready. No jewelry, nail polish, stamps, or tattoos.
Pink gloss/lipstick and pink blush. Older students may add neutral eyeshadow and mascara. Company kids should wear their usual makeup.

Recital Etiquette
Remain in your seat (quiet and courteous) and plan to stay for the entire recital. No food or drink. Remove crying/misbehaving children quickly. Please take programs, flowers, tissues, etc. with you at the end.
Video/Photography
Recording devices/phones/cameras strictly prohibited during recital. NO flash photography!
