We Survived Harvey!
I miss our dance family! This vacation felt especially long due to Harvey. I am happy to report our home, studio, and all of our staff’s homes remained high and dry. However, Kelly (who just started working at VM) and our recital photographer, Jody, weren’t so lucky. Kelly’s home took in over 5’ of water and Jody’s home (Beaumont area) is almost submerged under water. I am anxious to hear from our VM families. Please let me know if your family was affected by Harvey. We want to do everything we can to help.
Classes will start Tuesday, September 5. We want ALL of our students back. If Harvey is keeping you from getting your child back to their normal routine, just let us know. We will do what we can to make it happen. God spared many of us for a reason. Our desire is to preach the gospel without saying a word. Hands and feet are everything right now.
The following scriptures comforted me during this storm:
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
